ms Ryndam: Overview
Holland America Line Review

The Holland America ms Ryndam was first built in 1994 and later refurbished in 2004. It was updated to give more modern amenities to the 1,270 guests it can hold. This is one of Holland America’s more intimate vessels, allowing guests to experience their cruise vacation to the fullest.

Expect nothing but the best from HAL when cruising aboard the ms Ryndam. The dining and entertainment features will let the hours fly by while you are at sea or in port.

ms Ryndam: Passengers

This vessel is for all age groups catering to singles, couples or generational families. If you are on a cruise vacation during the summer, expect to see more families and children. If you are traveling during winter, the ship will have less children.

ms Ryndam: Dress Code
Holland America Line Review

When packing your suitcase for your upcoming cruise vacation, please keep in mind the dress code for the ms Ryndam. Holland America Line wants you to be comfortable with some additional clothing for formal nights.

During the day while you are exploring the ship or in port experiencing the different cultures, feel free to wear comfortable clothes. This would include sports wear, swimsuits, pants, shorts, sun dresses to name a few. The only requirement Holland America has, is if you are using the pool on the cruise ship to wear a cover up while going from your stateroom to the pool and back.

Each night when your stateroom is cleaned you will be left with an upcoming itinerary for the next night’s dinner wear. This will inform you whether or not the requirements will be casual, informal or formal/elegant. Please have something packed for each of these nights, as follows:

Casual – Men can wear a polo shirt and slacks, while women should wear a sun dress if they desire.

Informal – Mean should wear a button down shirt. A tie and jacket are option, but not required. Women should wear a pants suit or dress for this night.

Formal – Men should wear a suit with a tie or tuxedo, whichever they prefer. Women should wear a cocktail dress or gown. On average there are 2 formal nights per 7 day cruise.

ms Ryndam: Gratuity

Each stateroom will be set up with stateroom account. You may make all of your additional charges to theis account while on the vessel. It makes it easier for both guests and crew to just charge it to the stateroom. For gratuities a fee of $10 per person, per day will be charges to the account. If you purchase certain liquor and wine a charge of 15% will be added to the bill. If you wish to tip extra you may, if you want to. Once your cruise vacation is over you will settle your stateroom account.
