Oceania's Regatta

Regatta: Overview
Oceania Cruise Line Review

Oceania’s Regatta is the flagship of the Oceania Cruise fleet.  The Regatta was originally built in 1998 and recently underwent a refurbishing in 2011 to match the standards of the other vessels that Oceania offers with its luxurious staterooms and neo-classical furnishings.

Regatta has four restaurants on board that are all open seating, which get great reviews for some of the freshest food served in the industry.  Along with their spa and fitness center, there are 8 lounges and bars, along with a casino for night time entertainment.

The staterooms and suites are great for the price on this mid-sized ship.  Regatta holds 684 guests comfortably, especially with their fantastic 1.71 guest to 1 crew ratio.  Someone is always around to help you with your request or answer any questions that you might have.  The Regatta is sure to impress the first time or more experienced cruiser who is looking for fantastic service, food and itineraries.

Regatta: Passengers

Guests that are on board Regatta have an average age around 50 years old.  Most of the guest are from the U.S. or the U.K and speak English as their main language.  Also, most of the guests have been on a cruise before.

Regatta: Dress Code
Oceania Cruise Line Review

While on the ship the recommended guest dress code is resort or country club casual.  When the dinner hour comes, the dress code is elegant casual.  Think of men wearing a blazer, while women wear dresses or skirts for the open seating restaurants.  Regatta does not have any formal nights on board during their cruises.

Regatta: Gratuity

Tips, or gratuities will be automatically charged to your stateroom at the rate of $12.50 per guest, per day.  If you have a Penthouse, Vista or Owner’s Suite, then an additional $4 per guest, per day will be added on for the butler service that is provided.  You can tip more if you feel like it for services that you feel deserve a separate tip.  When you order room service, depending on the item, a tip should be given of $1 to $5.
